Restocking dates
As we are now printing our own labels, is it possible to make changes to the amount of stock we're bringing in? I'm not talking about a same day change, maybe give a few days before our assigned date. It would allow a more up-to-date and realistic restock rather than having to predict what's needed a week (plus) in advance.

Hi Anne-Marie, I just posted about this earlier today. We need to add the stock into the till system to know what you are bringing in and this has to be accurate. We need a week in advance as we have 150+ artists to work with and need to have an organised system to deal with the amount of stock for the store. Especially at this time of year, when the amount of stock deliveries can double. The artists printing their own barcodes has sped up the process as you no longer have to wait for your barcodes to arrive and then sticker them, within that 7 day window. It also saves the staff time as they had to individually input every stock item, to create and print a barcodes. However, we still need to have 7 days to receive stock and have an accurate stocklist to know what is coming into the store. If you were selling in the store last Christmas, I would look back at your Oct/Nov/Dec sales lists from last year and that will give you a good guide to what products and number of products you need to look at re-stocking this year. Also using your sales lists over a 12 month period put together in a spreadsheet, would allow you to see what your best selling products are and at what times of the year. This helps to plan stock rather than going off week to week sales lists. I hope that helps Lynzi
