A little help with New Barcode Printing
Hi everyone,
Lynzi has asked if I can pop on, and give a little advice on how I do my Barcode printing, as I have been doing it for a while now.
Unfortunately I couldn't find my barcode images on the link sent, however, I did have the excel sheet, with a list of all my barcode numbers on it.
CREATING MY BARCODES:
I use a free Barcode Generating site. I use www.cognex.com. I then do the following:
In the dropdown for Barcode Type, I select "Code-2of5 Interleaved".
Where it says Data, I put in my Barcode Number. So for example, my barcode number for my Bookmarks is 3007062467. (This number will generate a unique barcode for your product).
Where it says Width (px) / Output Type, leave this at "300" and "jpg". Which is already filled in.
Click Generate Barcode.
Click Download Barcode.
Go to your download folder on your computer/device, and save the Barcode in a folder for that product, so you can easily find it again.
PRINTING BARCODES :
I use a thermal printer to print my barcodes, which I ordered on Amazon, and I use rolls of labels, which are roughly the same size as SDX. Also ordered on Amazon. (If anyone needs links to the products I use, please let me know).
If you prefer to use a normal printer, that can also work.
For Thermal Printing:
Unfortunately, I'm not very savvy with fancy software, so I just use basic Word software.
I open up the folder, with the Barcode I created, and resize it on a blank page, according to the size of stickers I am using.
I then drag it to the top, middle of the page.
Then I copy and paste the Barcode underneath, repeating, to the bottom of the page. (See image below).

4. Then I select print.
5. I then select the name of the Thermal Printer I am using.
6. Then I click "Fit to printable page".
7. Then Print and Save.
It will be a little fiddly, and you will have to test print a few times, to get the size and position of the Barcodes right.
If you have your Barcode Images already, you can do the same process as above, by copy and pasting so many times.
For Standard Printers:
You can also copy and paste your barcode on a blank page, and print out an A4 sheet. You can order A4 sticker sheets on Amazon. You will of course, have to cut the barcodes by hand.
(See image below).

I hope the above information helps. Please be assured, if I can do it, you can! As I'm useless when it comes to technology etc :|
If anyone needs any help, or links to any products, please let me know. Happy to help :)
