Jewellery Products

Hi

I am looking for some clarity on the process for stocking jewellery items; I was under the impression that there was going to be a further update for jewellers on the best way to add new stock.

Before Christmas I rebranded, making my barcodes more generic to streamline the amount of barcodes following a pattern of prices points for different items, ie, Earrings £30, Earrings £60, Pendant £50 etc.

I thought this made the most sense though I never added as many barcodes in as I would have liked as with all the other changes going on at the time I didn't want to ask for too many. However I am unsure of how this process will work if you are looking for photos of products for approval prior to submitting new items. The idea of leaving it generic was so I could add in newly made items without the need to generate a new product but I'm now unclear as to whether this approach is allowed.

I am aware the deadline for new items to be added for this consignment is the 14th and I don't want to miss this but need some advice on the best way to proceed.

Kind regards

Laura

Hi Laura,

You will be fine to use these generic barcodes for your items. We would ask that if you are bringing in products that are beyond what you would usually stock with us that these are submitted for approval. You can still use generic barcodes and the store manager can check any new products that come into store on the day of your restocking appointment.

This policy is to cut down on creatives selling products that they did not submit as part of their application, selling products that don't meet our standards, or selling products that may infringe on another creatives work.

I would always advise that when in doubt over any policies or procedures to contact the store team directly and work with them.
